Last Day of School

 

CONGRATULATIONS ADDYSON !
YOU ARE DONE PRESCHOOL
FOREVER.

Addy had her last day of preschool and I really do not know where she will go from her as we depart to Australia sometime in October as at this point thinking we will not put her in kindergarten and thinking I can benefit from taking hours a day from my kids to help with the time change we will be making . But we will see I can have a change of heart but this is the direction we are leaning towards

 

Man I love this little lady so much .

She has had some great challenges this year not academic but more a social kinda way .

She was struggling and she made I to the end .

She holding her treats we made for each of her class mates.

It was a BIG team effort she even had her sister in on a job too !\I think they turned out great .

She requested to give freezies and I found this cute way of giving them .

I hope everyone enjoyed ! she was concerned about how many we gave each kid because some had one sibling and some had way more then one how would they ever share.

She worries about everything part of the problem of why she had trouble getting  through this year .

I suggested three she said but the kids with just two that doesn't work to share. so we settled on TWO

because the ones that have a one sibling could share and the ones that have more then one could cut them in half.

Thank goodness we had no one with 5 or more it could of been a big problem . \She also had concerns about how much money they cost each .

This is a new one . How much is that? That's a lot mom .

Problems I tell you ... but love her to pieces and honestly I wouldn't have it together if it wasn't for her someday too.

Well for some odd reason Our teacher gifts do not want to load and be on the BLOG today ! I will keep trying later on .

But we bought bamboo plants little glass vases and rocks .

Put it all together which Addy loved doing her self .

then we made a tag that said I was so LUCKY to have a teacher like you !

Easy , simple and very cheap if you have more then one teacher to gift too !

I bought our bamboo plants from IKEA along way back .

These sweet little Washi tapes that arrived in the mail make me happy as I quite often use them for gifts , invitations , decor items, packaging , HAPPY mail seals and some many other silly but random things . They are very inexpensive and have a wide range of colors & designs . These were purchased from Two Peas in a Bucket .

 These are so cheery, fun and inspirational .

Crafty Goodie bags

the girl's made these cute ghost by using Kleenex, sharpies , twine & alittle help from mom .We put these in our goodie bags for the party .

SO MUCH SPOOKY

I have thought and talked about having a Family Halloween party since well when I was a Saskatchewan girl and only had one child . Now I have four children and live in Manitoba . I have been inspired to do things now TODAY .
First of all I can say I LOVE LOVE LOVE Halloween and that probably easily comes from my mom . THANKS mom . ONE disadvantage of being on the farm is we get NO tricker  or  treaters , which on the bonus end of that means both hubby and I can dress up and go out with the kids . So we make sure every chance we get we make special treats for special people around us too . So we will share those crafty ideas with you all too .
 PARTY details .
THE Bones Family will be hosting their FIRST (hopefully annual ) Halloween Party .
I have obliviously had ideas in my head for a very long time .I really have not been sleeping the last few nights . Planning all the details to the food , decorations , family costumes (god forbid we wear what we will be wearing on the BIG night ) , goodie bags , the games and entertainment . I have been up real late getting all my FINE details hammered out. I will be HAPPY :) to share all my details of the party this weekend . Last night I have been trying to get the house all decorated so I will leave you with a sneak peek of this .

 Our Party is Friday evening and I will be gone for the weekend but plan at this point to do some pre posts on my blog while I am gone , unless of course the ZOMBIES take me away before I can do that and if that is the case well .......

Craft Weekend PART 2

I have finally posted PART 2 of CW .

As mentioned before this was a outstanding weekend .

 EAT .Well that's what we exactly did . I think that is the BEST part of any crafty weekend . All women know the appreciation of GOOD food. So any crafty weekend I go to MUST have good food. I have even been known to go to crafty retreat for the food.

 Apple pie that was still warm from the oven . YUMMO !

 Breakfast Tea , yogurt , granola and doughnut.

 The "FAMOUS "  CW meal : chicken enchiladas , corn salad , & margaritas. It did get a little WILD this night we had balls flying into the margaritas. Pompoms to be exact .

I must of been so hungry and forgot to take pictures of supper night 1 and cheesecake night 2 .
The food was oh so delicious .

The another highlight would be the antique hunting .

 Look at that pile of "junk " some may say . But if I had a truck there instead of flying I could of cleaned that up a bit.

 Meg  took this beauty home.

Wreath {LOVE}

I have some major wreath love and then all the amazing ideas off Pinterest are amazing inspiration . I had this idea for a while now and decided to just do it . It was either going to be great success or FAILURE . I love it ! Some may want to add a bow to it but I like it simple. I actually got this idea from a Halloween Crafty book I have had for years.

Terrible picture it was late at night and I have really terrible lighting in my mudroom . But you can at least get the idea of it .

I had made this yummy pieroge lasagna today too . Very good , and easy to make .

CRAFT WEEKEND { Part 1 }

I still cannot believe it ! That I have attended Craft weekend . It was everything I hoped for and so needed too.

 A lovely package from Bake it Pretty and a Craft magazine sat on our bed waiting for us . The goodies inside were awesome. Four XL icing tips & a bag ,Halloween picks , & cupcake liners as well as my fave paper straws.

Some of the beautiful decor. that was in the rooms. Most of it was a thrifty find too which is always my favorite things too .

It was all crafty , inspiring , put together  and just so darn cute .

These boots were made for picking antiques on a rainy Kansas day . So sweet and she even made those sweet lace top knee socks or a least did the DIY . Send me some Jamie and Jill . LOVE me some lace socks.

Home Sweet Home .....

There is something about leaving the nest and flying back home. Its refreshing , a little empowering  , grateful , encouraging , dreamy , strengthen ,motivating but exhausting , self worthy and just down right NICE . Just nice. I made a trip to Newton , Kansas over the weekend . Who would of dreamed of me dreaming to go there ? I will update you all on all the details the fun , THE food , crafts , BLOOPERS all later .And soon I promise.

But to be gone from the people you love most and back to them again . Makes lots of good stuff to happen . I came home more appreciated for the everyday hard work I put in without too many complains. I get a little tighter hugs , longer snuggles and wetter kisses . I cherish each of them and hope to never take them for granted either . I had the kids doing extra special things around the house and so proud to parade me around to show me all the details of what they had done . Waiting for praise and love for each of it too.  Maybe as much as me thinking they were all taking my daily things for granted maybe I was also doing the same to them . This way it opens all those doors to see everything fresh with clear eyes.The girls noticed that maybe Mom was better at doing their hair but that dad tried so hard to do the same . Addy even told me she thought dad missed me lots when he was doing her hair .How stinkin cute. The girls also made a point that dad is funnier to go to the store with cause he caves and buys the Dora Popsicle treats when Mom quite often finds it easier to say No.
Today I want to
-Remember that hubby and I made arrangements for him to take Addy to her music class while I good snuggle a little longer with the little kids
-Remember Izzy and I made cookies together
-Remember Vann loved being held in his mamas arms with his hands tucked in the inside of me  ***NOTE to self take a picture of this some day hes not going to do it forever and its our thing
-Remember Izzy helped me hang all my crafty projects up around the playroom that I made for them
-Remember she held the hammer so tight with her little hands.
-Remember the smell of cookies in the house is what makes this house a home
-Remember Both little kids are still kinda sick from the weekend and you could really tell Izzy pulled around her blankie around the house which I let her today usually blankets are meant to be kept on your bed
-Remember Vann want to snuggle and sleep in my arms which he never does
-Remember BOTH little kids are napping at the same time which has allowed me to write this post now in the middle of the middle of the day
-Remember that hubby called to tell me that he was glad he took Addy to music now when he helps with her daily practise that he understands more of what she does .He said it makes sense now.

Sister GETAWAY

My sister and I are off on a weekend away today marks its first day for us . Flying out of Minot to Newton Kansas . Well actually flying too Wichita Kansas where a lovely lady in a colorful home made apron should be waiting our arrival  to whisk us off too . Newton Kanas for ... well anyone that follows her BLOG should already now where we are off to by the few hints in the post already .
If you guessed Meg Duerksen and Kimberlee CRAFT WEEKEND you are right .
My sis.. yah ...my sis was picked way back in June actually 5 days before my birthday I received a call on hubbys cell phone (we were on our way to Calgary )for my sis to tell me she was picked for CW . Would I like to be her guest ? YES . There was screaming to be had and OMG are you serious talk for awhile then reality hit we are going to CRAFT weekend .
We had a pack that when we entered for craft weekend that whomever got picked first would take the other . So off we go today . We will be waiting at the border this morning to cross as soon as it opens to catch our first flight out of Minot . YIppeee . It so hard to believe the day has finally come . I have been a follower of Megs for quite sometime now. SO she is mostly like a celebrity to me .The crafty projects dying to fond out what we will be making and the loot bag oh  my its going to be alot like Christmas to us.The food that Kim will be cooking for us and just the time away from our regular routines of life will be a blessing . I am so looking forward to it . Oh I did forget the antique barn do I need to say more. Everyone that knows me knows that all it would of took to have me in .

Back to School

NO ,no and no.
I am not ready for school yet . Or the regular pace of routine of life.UGH ! At the thought actually. But I love FREE and I love to share . So here's a great back to school printable . I have had this on the brain since last Vday , so I attempted today . Addy was not so sure about giving her teachers a gift so early so tomorrow we will be the teachers stalkers and delivery these sweet surprises to each of them . Super easy and simple . Hand Delivery

Addy , Vann and I went door to door hand delivering Addys birthday invites .We went from Tilston to Pierson to Gainsborough to Carnduff to Oxbow . So cannot wait for the party !

Most wonderful time of the year ......

Hello December !Here as always snuck up on us ,but I am most delighted I love Christmas and everything about it . The sights , sounds , smells of all that is to be had this month .

I {LOVE} smell of a real Christmas tree that's why I am stubborn and insist every year that we get one with all the work that it involves that just seems OK with me . I love driving around and seeing all the beautiful lights up .I so love the Christmas music all though I must say not being a "MALL"shopping I am missing out on all the festive tunes and kinda miss it . I have enjoyed doing 90%of my Christmas shopping online ,but you do miss out on some of the Holiday spirit. I do not mean the the pushing and shoving or the long lines to wait . I love some certain holiday treats too and sharing a big meal with family and friends who we usually do not make enough time to spent with during the rest of the year . This year I am adding a few more traditions to our family's holiday with a different twist for us on the Advent calendar .We are doing a few things to count down the holiday season this year . Last night I was up late getting all these goodies ready for today to surprise my munchkins.

I had purchased a play mobil advent calendar @ Chapters ,also had these boxes made with a kit Stampin Up had available last year which I left a to do in it such as take a drive and look at lights or make cookies then had a chocolate for each girl too . I also had wrapped Christmas books to unwrap and read each night . I love having traditions that we will do each and every year.
