Craft Weekend PART 2

I have finally posted PART 2 of CW .
As mentioned before this was a outstanding weekend .
Much needed .
Much deserved .
Helpful
Learned
Dreamed
RElaxed
Embraced
ENJOYED!
EAT .Well that's what we exactly did . I think that is the BEST part of any crafty weekend . All women know the appreciation of GOOD food. So any crafty weekend I go to MUST have good food. I have even been known to go to crafty retreat for the food.
Apple pie that was still warm from the oven . YUMMO !
Breakfast Tea , yogurt , granola and doughnut.
The "FAMOUS "  CW meal : chicken enchiladas , corn salad , & margaritas. It did get a little WILD this night we had balls flying into the margaritas. Pompoms to be exact .
Breakfast last day .
I must of been so hungry and forgot to take pictures of supper night 1 and cheesecake night 2 .
The food was oh so delicious .
THANK YOU very much to this lovely lady .

The another highlight would be the antique hunting .
Look at that pile of "junk " some may say . But if I had a truck there instead of flying I could of cleaned that up a bit.

 Meg  took this beauty home.

I love love these chairs .
I need one of these too .
My sis  and me @ the barn . Aren't we all cute .
Bird eye view of all our goodies together  . I am thinking we cleaned up in the barn for sure .

well going to leave you all with this for now.Desperate for more.....

Summer goodness

I made this delish Rhubarb recipe and everyone scarfed it down . The joys of being a farm gal is fresh rhubarb right out your back door . This cake was oh so moist and absolutely delish to the last crumb ice cream or no ice cream ,but doesn't ice cream make everything better .
RECIPE :Rhubarb Coffee Cake (Tablespoon - T ,teaspoon -t  ,Cup - C )
1/2 C Margarine                       1 t vanilla
1 1/2 C white sugar                   2 C flour
2 eggs                                       1 t baking soda
1 C sour cream                         2 C rhubarb , chopped

TOPPING
1/2 C brown sugar                    1 t cinnamon
1 T flour                              1 T margarine
Make into crumbs and sprinkle over batter . Bake @ 350* in a 9x13 pan for 30-40 minutes .
Now you all know I cannot not keep to a recipe if my life depended on it .
So this is what I changed . I used Epicure Apple Spice in both mixture and topping same amount as cinnamon .Of course I doubled the topping too . YUMMY !!!
This recipe was courtesy of the Carievale Cookbook and was submitted by Jean Dean (Allan )

I made these today !!

Who can resist a light , fluffy cream puff ??
This is the recipe I use :
1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup all purpose flour
4 eggs (my trick is to have them room temp. )
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven 425
On the stove top have the butter and water until boiling  add vanilla .
Stir in flour and salt until it forms a ball
Transfer the dough to a large mixing bowl. Using a wooden spoon or stand mixer, beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Centers should be dry.
When the shells are cool cut in half and add whipping cream adn if you are going to all the drop of making them whip up a batch of real whipping cream just that much better .
Then yummy !~~
