We have started potty training with Izzy so some days this is how it goes . I will go into more details about potty training at our house .

But Step 1 is going very well. We have three successful poop on toilet and four and half successful pees ,as that's a half . OOPS !! (accidents happen )

Our girl does not like the potty she likes  the toilet that can make it more difficult later for sure.

Today marks the day we opened our last jar of home made raspberry jam . Raspberries picked from our very own bushes and made with  love with my children .

Here is the proof of  yummy good stuff marked all over her face .

Can't wait for raspberry picking season to begin again .

a POP of color

Now that we got our closet all cleaned up and in working order .I love the sight of this some color in my husbands dressy wardrobe . His company color is always reflected to the blues but love the power of color ,especially the yellow and purple . What do you think ?

Painting

I let the girls paint this morning together . Addy has painted quite often actually probably weekly its one of those at the kitchen table activities that get done while I do dishes as I do dishes by hand as we have not decided on a dishwasher or the placement of where it would actually go in the kitchen . since we had a dishwasher in the past I had never counted for all the time it takes to wash ,dry and put away dishes can be especially when you bake . So I had to find a way where the girls were in my line of sight so I could get them done daily . I have decided a little independent craft time at the table was my best solution . So today was Izzy's first time painting solo . She did very well even though she ate some paint .(thank goodness for non toxic paint options)Hubby actually could not believe that was her picture when he got home maybe a artist someday .

Who can resist a light , fluffy cream puff ??
This is the recipe I use :
1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup all purpose flour
4 eggs (my trick is to have them room temp. )
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven 425
On the stove top have the butter and water until boiling  add vanilla .
Stir in flour and salt until it forms a ball
Transfer the dough to a large mixing bowl. Using a wooden spoon or stand mixer, beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Centers should be dry.
When the shells are cool cut in half and add whipping cream adn if you are going to all the drop of making them whip up a batch of real whipping cream just that much better .
Then yummy !~~

Spring Cleaning

This is the outcome to some spring cleaning or early nesting whatever , either way it felt good to give away 4 and half bags of clothes that my husband and I have been holding on too . Just for the record 2 1/2 bags were my husbands . Our rules were if you have not wore it in the last year its gone, just because its fits doesn't mean it stays (as my husband has some really old ragged clothes that STILL fit for say but look old ),and if it does not fit its gone not keeping it for if, when, maybe someday . We also had a bag that went to garbage and I cut some for rags for the house as we do not use paper towel in our house .

Just because ...

he loves us . Hubby has been gone every week from Monday -Friday since the new year with AG shows , meetings ,and etc. So On his way home he picked these up for us girls . I think the little girls were more excited to see them then me.

I had made a online purchase as the weather seems to be getting nicer makes me think I gotta get some new duds here are two items that made my shopping cart today !

(I really dislike slip on shoes for him but if he insists to wear them I would be OK with these ,but that doesn't mean his lace up shoes are going to be forgotten )I really think tying up your shoes is a thing of the past .

School Valentines

We had a Extra day to get ready to hand out Addy's School Valentines .Thank goodness .
Here's what we did .

 Wondered what we were doing with all those empty crayon wrappers . We made heart crayons . I snagged this idea from my sister when my first idea failed me .(tell you all about it in a minute )My very creative sister picked up this idea from here last year for my nephews Valentines last year . A great way to recycle all your old very used crayons and your friends too . Must admit we had not enough crayons to finish our project for all the kids so I was pestering my friends for all there old crayons too . I used my sister Wilton heart silicone cupcake pans. You really do not have to be to creative to figure this one out .

(Sorry for the terrible ,horrible no good picture was taken at 11:00pm but it gives you the idea anyhow )

Now what was my first idea . well here was what it was suppose to look like here .So whatt happen I had a box of 100 small candy canes and whole 92 of them were broke or broke on their way of being unwrapped , so i guess this will be next years idea.

Valentines is reflected on my children and we do special stuff for them . We have tradition of having a Valentines Scavenger hunt every Valentines since well its been 4 years now. I make up clues that have the kids running up and down the stairs and usually at each new clue there is a special surprise waiting to be found . Addy was without her brother for the first time. (so the clues were a little easier )

This was me and my girls after having our Steak and Lobster supper that we made for daddy followed by our scavenger hunt and to finish it off we decorated cookies then ate them for dessert.

Itching to put holes in my walls

I have not put up our family pictures yet . I have been wanting to pound holes in our freshly painted holeless (is that a word) walls . But still trying to decide what exactly to do .
Do these ideas just make you want to put holes in your walls ?

I apologize I do not remember the place I picked these ideas up from to give them the proper credit but if I figure it out will let you know .

The happenings of a Saturday .

This is how I wake up to my kitchen on most mornings.. who am I trying to kid anyhow . Every morning .

We try to spend most of our evening with our kids . So the table is left a mess but I don't really mind . I enjoy having my morning tea while cleaning up .



I started our Saturday morning by feeding my family something I know everyone will eat .

FRENCH TOAST . Yummy . And seeing how you can see my reflection in my kettle I would consider this a self portrait as well .LOL.
I then I dressed the girls up in hopes to take a few pictures of them as I still have not got there 1 and 3 year old pictures done yet . Lack of poor communicating (on my part )with friend / photographer these days . Really need to get these done before this next babe appears . Here are a few pictures I got though.

This girl can FAKE cry to laugh in seconds . We are going to have our hands full when she is older .
So this day took a last minute curve to head to Minot to pick up a few Reno things and I picked up a few groceries . So no mini photo shoot for my girls today . We will try again .

I went to find Addy to tell her we are going shopping and this is where I found her.

Then I headed back upstairs to find Izzy doing this and quite proud of herself too. The life of a mom.

JUST because .......

I was having one of those mornings that started the night before . I had found out that my grandpa was heading back to the emergency room again . I was getting the girls ready  to head to Addy's music class but also packed a bag just in case I needed to stay in for the night to help out .So i packed up stuff for all three of us girls and the dog . I had been solo parenting all week exhasted, tired ,stressed out , raging hormones and had no breakfast . SO got everyone in the truck by 8:00 am and here were three heart cookies .This was just what I needed . These cookies made me cry it was one of those days were you need something to happen to make your day better . So the strange thing was these cookies were not there when I started the truck at 7:30 to warm it up they appeared sometime between 7:31 - 8:00 .     I was so grateful or the cookies and not just because they tasted absolutely amazing but because they were there on this particular day .I must mention that by noon this day I also had found out that Jeremy's grandpa had passed away . It was not a good grandpa day for us .  SO these cookies made my day just alittle brighter .
Thanks to my mystery friend .
SO leave a surprise for someone .You just don't know when they really could use it .

Just a ordinary day .....

One of the many things I love about Addy is she can entertain herself for hours if she had too .

She has a wild imagination .

She plays hide seek , goes on picnics , builds houses , takes the kids to school , feeds the farm animals and whatever else her little mind thinks up to do with her peoples. Sometimes she even lets me play too ,but I usually get a big no mom .

                                         She even managed to look up for me for one picture .
