Farm Living

Had ourselves a little farm fire as I like to call them .Farmers quick way to get rid of dead grass or anything.... start it on fire . Important part of farm fires is the watch out part to make sure things do not get out of hand . Addy wandered if we were going to get our sticks and marshmallows for the bonfire and Izzy was amazed !!! Her face is priceless right along with her hair .

SIZE matters .

Whoever said size doesn't matter was oh so wrong . Since we have been living here at the farm . My hubby and I have been having a going on discussion about what size .... OK we are talking about our second T.V for the house on the main level . I could life without but if we are going to have one .
 SIZE does matter .
So we agreed on 40 inches .
But when we go to to the big block store and all the walls covered with T.V's my hubby could barely contain himself he wanted a bigger one .So I guess does really matter . I said a deal was a deal and walked away . When I came back we had a 43 inch T.V being brought to the front for us to take home .
well what do you do .
The salesman was trying to make me feel better by saying well the 40 inch was actually more money this one was cheaper .
What you going to say to that ??

A Bright Bright Sunny Day

I had a great day I love the feeling have a good day from start to finish . I was mommy helper at Addy's school for the second time which I love to do I find joy in it . It brings me back to the days of me being preschool teacher and taking care of kids in my family childcare home . Never a dull moment can't really have a bad day even if its hairy scary day someone little will say something that will bring a smile to your day guaranteed . We had a quick lunch and both of my girls had a nap which is rare and golden . Promise is a Promise in our house . So I had promised the girls that we would go outside after they would wake up . well we end up staying outside all night long only to come in to eat salmon off the BBQ , corn on the cob and rice . Then back outside we went . Have some exciting stuff to share with you all but will safe that for a later post HINT . Did alittle pre picking??? You know Canadian picker ...well I will share soon .
Hubby stayed outside until all hedges got trimmed and Addy stayed right along side him driving the gator around the farm yard .They both reported in at 9:45 pm . Now I am not the crazy lady that lets my kids stay up to all hours but we have nothing to really do tomorrow and I was not ruining a good thing .

I am HAPPY here because ................

it is a place I can grow old with my hubby .

it is a place we can make our own at our pace .

its a place our kids can appreciate and love.

both our families our close to us.

its our forever home .

Busy Week

I have a crazy busy week going to happen this week .
Monday is my ONLY home day
Tuesday Regina for Ultrasound (have alittle mommy guilt going on as we are leaving the girls with my mom this day )as soon as wee get back to pick up the girls from moms hubby is hopping in his truck and heading to Minot Ag days .UGH.
Wednesday Addy has pre k and skating
Thursday Addy has music class at Oxbow then we are heading to Minot for the night to spend a little time with dad
Friday we get home from Minot
Saturday is my Big girls actual birthday and depending on how we feel might have a surprise adventure this day too .


But today I am looking forward to trying out my new huge jet tub and maybe I will hop in our spa shower too . LOL . I am a bath kinda girl and I have not had a bath since we have been here I have showered . SO I am really looking forward to my bath .

I would say this is my dream bathroom not my hubby's as it would have to have a T.V in it for him to be a dream .

So looking forward to have it all done it's been a long haul for this Reno .Now we are finishing up the mudroom .

Family of 5

We had Dman home for the weekend what a big change for him he has the joys of both city living and country living . So when he was home he was able to use a birthday present we had not much of a chance to use until now. So just a quick little walk out back he did some target shooting .

and what ones does and other MUST do too .

,so walking back from shooting Dayton says I think your garden is bigger then my whole back yard in Calgary . Another added little perk almost unlimited space and the good ole country air .

Another thing we did while we had our little man home was going skating I must admit that skating is not really my thing but so glad the rest of my family can enjoy it together . The next day Dman mentioned his legs were sore !

I have really enjoyed our family of five time with family and friends all able to SHARE !

and at the end of every time Dman leaves I try to make sure to take one last picture until next time and as I called the kids up to take a spot on the bed  our 4th kid was already there . These pictures are never meant to be perfect or coordinated but just really to capture the moment of time together .So until next time DMAN  we love you and  miss you every day and already planning our next little adventures because life really is not about the things we give our children but the moments we give them as they stay with them longer  .

Bootsie

If you would of ever told that I would have cats . I totally would deny it that it could ever be true . But here I am with two cats and eleven kittens . But Addy has one that is wrapped around her finger plus its the only one that she can catch . So heres Boostie !the only cat that has a name . But was orginial called BOOTS from the show Dora but it is now Bootsie .Addy loves Bootsie .I must admitt when I have need help or a threat to get you to clean up your toys or finish your supper I have said I will give Bootsie away and dad says thinks Bootsie will someday be in the house ,but I wouldn't quite go that far yet .

Happy Birthday MOM !!!!! Grandma Rosie !!!!

Yes as you can imagine I choice my moms birthday to have moving day on not on purpose but no really choice as my hubby had a few business trips coming up that were making it difficult to schedule a "Good" moving day where we would have help . And yes if you were wandering there were tears oh there were tears .Behind closed doors of course only in front of my husband . SAD , HAPPY so all those crazy tears that you just can't help but they just pour out weather you like it or not you have no control whether they come or not. The ugly cry as Oprah would say . We did celebrate moms birthday with cake . THANKS for all our families help the weeks prior and the day of move . It was also our first night at the house too . The girls first bath was in the kitchen sink . We had the tub full of stuff that still needed to be unpacked . But the girls did not mind one bit.

A place we know as HOME.....

This picture was taken as our house in Gainsborough was empty and it was OUR official last day of owning it . We all had mixed emotions and I am sure all of us had opposite emotions too . I am sure my husband was thrilled to finally have his very own farm . Addyson was quite sad which really surprised me how such a little person can have such deep emotion for something at such a young age , but then this would be all she has known as home . Isabelle will have no idea what has changed until it all happens and probably will never remember Gainsborough as her home . Dayton will not be as concerned as his whole life as he knows it form now has been all about move and change. Although his visits with us will be very different then his home with his mom and step dad in Calgary . TO me to was mixed emotions as this was my home to my family  love the idea of having my family growing up on a farm as I love the whole idea of farm life . But I have a great neighbours that would do anything for us in Gainsborough and our like grandparents to our kids . I would have neighbours as out the farm its us and a few miles away neighbours. I will have a dog that was never mine and cats that I really don't like but know I need them . CHANGE ........ Its hard but its all works out . SO as I look at this picture the lighting is poor its not really a good picture of anyone but it stands for much more then that and that's what I see .

Yes its coming true.

I am really close to being a "Manitobian" .Yes I made this word up and I really mean no harm .Its just been alot of change and you all will have to hear me complain to the end!

This Old Barn ...

I was disappointed and sad but this old barn had to come down.Addyson took the horse shoes out of it and I kept the old feeding troughs and a old square barn window . Will just have to wait and see what crafty projects I will come up for them .
