Craft Weekend PART 2

I have finally posted PART 2 of CW .

As mentioned before this was a outstanding weekend .

 EAT .Well that's what we exactly did . I think that is the BEST part of any crafty weekend . All women know the appreciation of GOOD food. So any crafty weekend I go to MUST have good food. I have even been known to go to crafty retreat for the food.

 Apple pie that was still warm from the oven . YUMMO !

 Breakfast Tea , yogurt , granola and doughnut.

 The "FAMOUS "  CW meal : chicken enchiladas , corn salad , & margaritas. It did get a little WILD this night we had balls flying into the margaritas. Pompoms to be exact .

I must of been so hungry and forgot to take pictures of supper night 1 and cheesecake night 2 .
The food was oh so delicious .

The another highlight would be the antique hunting .

 Look at that pile of "junk " some may say . But if I had a truck there instead of flying I could of cleaned that up a bit.

 Meg  took this beauty home.

 I love love these chairs .

 I need one of these too .

Sister GETAWAY

My sister and I are off on a weekend away today marks its first day for us . Flying out of Minot to Newton Kansas . Well actually flying too Wichita Kansas where a lovely lady in a colorful home made apron should be waiting our arrival  to whisk us off too . Newton Kanas for ... well anyone that follows her BLOG should already now where we are off to by the few hints in the post already .
If you guessed Meg Duerksen and Kimberlee CRAFT WEEKEND you are right .
My sis.. yah ...my sis was picked way back in June actually 5 days before my birthday I received a call on hubbys cell phone (we were on our way to Calgary )for my sis to tell me she was picked for CW . Would I like to be her guest ? YES . There was screaming to be had and OMG are you serious talk for awhile then reality hit we are going to CRAFT weekend .
We had a pack that when we entered for craft weekend that whomever got picked first would take the other . So off we go today . We will be waiting at the border this morning to cross as soon as it opens to catch our first flight out of Minot . YIppeee . It so hard to believe the day has finally come . I have been a follower of Megs for quite sometime now. SO she is mostly like a celebrity to me .The crafty projects dying to fond out what we will be making and the loot bag oh  my its going to be alot like Christmas to us.The food that Kim will be cooking for us and just the time away from our regular routines of life will be a blessing . I am so looking forward to it . Oh I did forget the antique barn do I need to say more. Everyone that knows me knows that all it would of took to have me in .

Mother Load

I was out garage saling today and hit the mother load . Keep checking back for me to share my finds with you .

SO my picture pretty much sucks (super blurry !)as I was trying to take it quick so hubby would not see all my treasures at once.I was creeping in them slowly washing them up and displaying them so they can be appreciated to the intend I had wanted them for and not what did you bring that home for . I found some amazing suitcases , old vintage large jars that I will use for my pantry plus craft studio , old scrub wash board , old watering can that I got thrown in with a whack of old crates , found a large amount of good quality well tooken care of clothes for my oldest daughter , a few baby finds for our MR . Little man and a old vintage stainless steel bread box , a few finds for a friend which I am not sure if she will appreciate them yet as they will just show up on her door step .

I will keep posting my finds as I display them in my home.

Black Beauty

and not a horse but I received this great camera as a late Mother's Day gift .Its the Fuji Instax mini 50s Piano Black camera .{HEART}

My husband had planned a double date for my folks and us .We had supper at the Olive Branch got alot of my preggo cravings in ,then after supper on our way back home my hubby handed me this late but very appreciated gift .It was on my wish list so I was so thrilled . I have been so busy that I have only took one picture with it and look forward to taking more then making a wonderful mini album for them . I have been on a big kick of mini albums lately and plan on starting Monday Minis which will be a mini album class on every second Monday starting very soon . Just waiting on a order that has been MIA for a few weeks but has found it way back on track with me really soon . Keep you posted with class schedule very soon .

 I also have been very lucky too have inherited these oldies too .

I was grateful that FIL came across these in his dads basement this past weekend and knew I would be interested in them for sure as I was thrilled when I saw them . Have a perfect spot for them very soon too .

I had to go picking again ..... I am sure my hubby appreciates it so  much . Although this picking trip I was learning another skill cause the only way my hubby would let me go is if I practised driving our farm truck that is stick shift which I never really learned the proper way to drive . I can tell you Izzy got a kick out of it any how and I don't think I caused anyone to bad of whip lash . My hubby is concerned that someday I may actually have to rely on the old Ford someday so wants me to learn how to drive it . Anyhow these are the items I picked last night .

Manitoba Picker

YES .....I am a picker . Its true another persons junk is ones treasures . Here are some treasures I found doing alittle picking . So as promised here are my treasures . Not sure where there homes will be be for sure .

And I found a home for a few of these things already so excited . Lots of scrubbing going on to make these shine but welll worth it .

I heart ......

There are some things that just bring a little smile to your face .I was on a moms day out shopping with a great friend and was on cloud 9 when I found this antique treasure for $30.00 .It is so practical for our household and the best part the kids love wheeling it down to my laundry room to help fill the washer with it . Now that I have brought this sweet item home reproductions of them have been popping up every where now.
