Dear Vann

I want you to know how much mommy loves you ! All of you ! The crazy little boy that screams
 and then laughs  at the sound that you make after . The way you hold on tight to me and wrap your legs around me so tight , then tuck your tiny hands inside in front of your chest and lay your head right in to my neck like we were made for each other . I love that you try so hard to keep up with the girls .I love that the awe of having a little person in our house has not wore off for your sisters and they still squeeze you so tight and sometimes fight to who gets to hold you first . You are full of energy and little ball of fire some days. you keep me on my toes , learning and dreaming of all things good for you .Your toothy grin makes me smile so big . You have definitely cast a spell on this mama and won me over on your ways . You have a sparkle in your blue eyes , red tint in your hair ,and the will power to try anything . Look out world he's on his way .

Turning one

Little Man
You have finally turned one.

Here are a few things about you .
You always have a smile or one is not far away .
You are silly and funny.
Playful , fun and charming.
You do not like pasta nor rice
You are a typical farmer you like meat and potatoes .
Although you enjoy your fruits & veggies too . Cucumbers , blueberries, peas, corn , bananas, pickled beans , oranges .
You love waving at anyone and everyone.
You are strong .
Easy going and friendly .
Sometimes shy.
Ticklish .
You like making others laugh at you.
You still have a soother and bottle .
Have 8 teeth and many bruises.
You still wear a size 1 shoe . (which is classified as newborn , so very small feet .)
Love swimming and going all the way under .
Not really interested in walking .
You heart your lactose free ice cream .
You love being on the trampoline when the girls are jumping .
Also loving being pushed in the swing.
You like pickles and drinking pop from PAPA.
Enjoy watching the kids play and then later will do what they do on your own .

little MAN Party

Cannot have a party without the invite . We always send a email invite save the day and then receive formal invite in mail later .

 We had some photo booth fun . You pick your stache and tie .

A party for me is not about turning another year older as much as it is celebrating the time that it took to get there.So I like to have a special spot set up that is a walk down memory lane . A look back at where you had gone to get where you are now. It these special moments that I like to spent time on doing . 

This was the set up on of his dresser pictures , bracelets from hospital , umbilical cord clip in jar , his wood truck from papa Ken ,his birth coin set ,teddy bear he received for a baby gift, and a old truck I use in his room to keep these special treasures.

 Is turning one  holy wow time flies by . SO I prepared a little shoot to get his birthday invites done I did not use these pictures for them thats why I will share these ones as everyone can be surprised with what they will receive in the mail . Summer Time on the FARM

Hello ...... What a long time since I have blogged but no excuses and let me get right back at it as I have missed it oh so much . First of all ITS SUMMER TIME. I have been waiting oh too long for this as last year I was robbed of half of my summer but a wonderful gift of my gorgeous little man was the treasure in the end.
How are the Jones spending the summer. well we headed out to Calgary to pick Dman home spend a few days near Canmore at a wonderful campsite. Besides some crappy weather and a few other minor issues   It was nice to just get away.
Now that we are at home and back to the grind of things this is how we have been rolling . Literacy class Wednesdays  . We have been carrying out a wonderful schedule to keep our weekdays busy by using this little weekly guide I adapted from somewhere in blog land not remembering right at this moment but if I figure it out will share .

This has been keeping the kids plenty busy by asking mom what's tomorrow for . We also have been doing the SMASH journals on our own schedules as we do not get the early summer holidays like in the U.S. so we have been going along with Tami a couple a day here or whatever suits our fancy because we can. She has great guides and I highly recommend this kids summer journal I am also doing one but have picked my up at Target its the black journal .
I am preparing for Little Mans big 1 birthday and Dman's 9th birthday that is fast approaching .Sniff ... sniff.. We hosted a Canada Day BBQ at our house this year . Between Swimming lessons and life I am sure we can manage to fill up the rest of those days quite fast.

7 months

Vann my little man .Oh how I love you are growing and maybe this is much harder for me because I know you are my last child I will birth . (not sure if he will my last child let I still would love to have one more ) You are sweet ,charming ,simple , breath taking , and strong little man . 7 months it seems as the days ,weeks and months have just floated on by . Not quite sure I am ready to have a one year old and nine year old this summer yet . That may have me crying buckets of tears .
So you are .....

-eating two meals all days with almost a third one in there too .
-love cookies
-you are eating pears, mangoes , bananas , peas , sweet potatoes ,apples and prunes , carrots , blueberries (NOTE ** alot of sweet things must broaden your menu )I make all of your food for you .
-silly
-contagious laugh
-rolling from back to front and back again .... although you enjoy being on your back mostly
-almost sitting
-have ate a grocery list or a corner of your sisters books or sisters school crafts before
-have been making shy
-are a mommas boy but will stay with others while I can go and do other stuff
-still breast feeding
-Wake up once a night to feed usually or sleep all night unless teeth are bugging you
-sleep in crib for all sleeping
-take a bottle when need too
-still no teeth
-pretty much have your sisters wrapped around your fingers (this I know will probably be for always)
-enjoy going to sleep with a soft fuzzy blanket no one in particular
-there is so many simple moments with that I don't ever want to forget . Such when I nursing you you look at me with those big beautiful blue eyes like you know that I am savior each last moment of this knowing that it will sometime be the last time we will have this intimate moment together .
but then theres times when I am nursing too and your dad watching the big game and you stop sucking to pull off and  raise your head to watch the game your whatever else may of grab your attention and then come right back to feeding , These are the moments I know you are so a BOY .You are quite the little man I treasure the quiet moments we have but love watching the crazy moments too . Like the times your sisters are running like crazy wild things and you sit back watching then let out your own little roar as much as you can with that tiny voice you have .It surprises me that your roar can stop everyone in their tracks to look upon you in disbelief that it was you that made such a sound then everyone roars laughing at you and you look back to only laugh right along with them .
Little man in your life time you have made me have to be as strong as I ever had to be to brave as ever to get through those dark first days ,but now I am here to enjoy all these simple moments with all of you and look forward to each month when I can see all the little things that change and grow about you .

5 months

Little man that's right its your 5 month birthday today . You may kill me for taking these pictures of you someday ,but I will take my chances . I took pictures of you in a rocking Santa suit Grandma Rosie found for you . I hope each month to capture a picture of you that I can tell what the season was and time of year . So this seemed most fitting as it is so close to Christmas .

-can hold your own morning bottle after cereal
-have cute dimples like your dad that I can see more now that you are smiling often
-enjoy the exersaucer
-have had prune apple juice for the obvious reasons
-not often grumpy but when you are its for a good reason

-have reached the 10 pound mark . Yippee!!! (that means a few people can leave your mama alone )
- love to be nude or at least your diaper off . I guess you like to have it hanging out . I will worry about that when you get much older .
-have been bathing in the big bath tub now
-have had your first cookie although I do not think it was you who had a bite out of it (you may of had help but no one that would admit to it )
-watch T.V your mama is not sure she likes this but you are entertained
This mama loves watching you grow please not too fast .
Can wait to see what next month brings !

First Santa Visit

The hubby , little man and I got a weekend away to Minneapolis this weekend . Our little man had his first experience with Santa .Santa apparently was staying at our hotel and visiting the kids that morning at breakfast he was pretty much wrapping it up and had time for one more visit with our little man.This Santa was mighty good I tell you !!!He wrapped Vann up in his coat and was talking to him and cuddled right up with while I snapped away with my camera. I{heart} these pictures

My little man is growing up so fast .
@ 4 months
-You Are so FULL of smiles
-are cooing
-teething as you have bite me (any tips for a nursing mama )
-love to have any one's attention
-high possibility of dairy allergies
-you have eczema
-sleep through the night
-laugh (i love that sound )
-23 inches long
-ALMOST nine pounds
-tolerate the love your sisters give you daily
-enjoy sleeping in mom and dads bed
-have had your first tastes of oatmeal cereal and loved it .
-are so darn cute to me !!!

Forever {LOVE}

Anyone that knows my Izzy knows she is NOT a loving kinda girl . She likes personal space .So loved how I was having a mini shoot practising a few things for my photography class with Vann Izzy just quickly popped in , gave him a kiss and disappeared ! This picture rocks my world .

2 Months

WOW times really does fly by seeing how I missed out on his first month photo I was not missing out this time around ,so a day early keeping track of our little man . Here are the many faces of our little man VANN.

-rolling over from tummy to back and sometimes a few more rolls if hes wide awake

-really knows his moms voice

- checking out his surrounding with his eyes constantly

- very strong for a wee man

- weighing in at 7lbs 6oz

- pretty tough to make it through the very "tight " love the girls are constantly giving him

- he had his first doctor visit and she was very impressed by our little man

- blue eyes are really showing now (yah my first blue eyed babe )
