OLW

I have struggled with what I would choose this year for my little word . Last year my word kinda found me. I wrote out a word ,then its definition thought long and hard about my goals for the year and why were they so important to me . I repeated this so many times I was about ready to give up on one little word for this year. Then I stumbled upon CONNECT .

It is what my word must be connect .

I so want to connect with family ,my husband , my kids , my self , creativity , friends , with life its self . I feel connect is the word I need to have this year . I will follow up with this as I believe this .

7 months

Vann my little man .Oh how I love you are growing and maybe this is much harder for me because I know you are my last child I will birth . (not sure if he will my last child let I still would love to have one more ) You are sweet ,charming ,simple , breath taking , and strong little man . 7 months it seems as the days ,weeks and months have just floated on by . Not quite sure I am ready to have a one year old and nine year old this summer yet . That may have me crying buckets of tears .

-eating two meals all days with almost a third one in there too .
-love cookies
-you are eating pears, mangoes , bananas , peas , sweet potatoes ,apples and prunes , carrots , blueberries (NOTE ** alot of sweet things must broaden your menu )I make all of your food for you .
-silly
-contagious laugh
-rolling from back to front and back again .... although you enjoy being on your back mostly
-almost sitting
-have ate a grocery list or a corner of your sisters books or sisters school crafts before
-have been making shy
-are a mommas boy but will stay with others while I can go and do other stuff
-still breast feeding
-Wake up once a night to feed usually or sleep all night unless teeth are bugging you
-sleep in crib for all sleeping
-take a bottle when need too
-still no teeth
-pretty much have your sisters wrapped around your fingers (this I know will probably be for always)
-enjoy going to sleep with a soft fuzzy blanket no one in particular
-there is so many simple moments with that I don't ever want to forget . Such when I nursing you you look at me with those big beautiful blue eyes like you know that I am savior each last moment of this knowing that it will sometime be the last time we will have this intimate moment together .
but then theres times when I am nursing too and your dad watching the big game and you stop sucking to pull off and  raise your head to watch the game your whatever else may of grab your attention and then come right back to feeding , These are the moments I know you are so a BOY .You are quite the little man I treasure the quiet moments we have but love watching the crazy moments too . Like the times your sisters are running like crazy wild things and you sit back watching then let out your own little roar as much as you can with that tiny voice you have .It surprises me that your roar can stop everyone in their tracks to look upon you in disbelief that it was you that made such a sound then everyone roars laughing at you and you look back to only laugh right along with them .
Little man in your life time you have made me have to be as strong as I ever had to be to brave as ever to get through those dark first days ,but now I am here to enjoy all these simple moments with all of you and look forward to each month when I can see all the little things that change and grow about you .

Don't cry over frozen milk

Although I may of not been crying I may of had censored words coming out of my mouth like a trucker .When I woke up as usual the other morning to get the girls breakfast to realize I did not have milk in the fridge .But I do indeed remember buying milk the day before . As I was quick to realize I had two sleeping beauties as well a sleeping prince charming .I had patiently carried each one in and the diaper bag , the mail and ...... well I forgot the milk in the truck for the night . This is when the censored words were flying out of my mouth . Much too my amusement the girls have enjoyed having Ice Milk and that just may have to become the usual around here as they loved it . Next will be Ice Wine but hopefully that will be light years away .


Moral of the story
Make Lemonade out of lemons and don't cry over frozen milk .

Sweet Fortunes

I have had this on the brain since last Vday , so I attempted today . Addy was not so sure about giving her teachers a gift so early so tomorrow we will be the teachers stalkers and delivery these sweet surprises to each of them . Super easy and simple . The fortunes are made of felt with hidden messages inside,

Sunday Skate

We went out for a  quiet sunday skate .

I had a rough day today !!! I should of just stayed in bed today !!DO you ever have one of those days . Where you should of went to bed early but didn't then when you went to bed little people were up the rest of evening til morning . You then realize the laundry you put in you know that cute new shirt dyed everything else that was in with it which was all your new clothes . UGH . Then you finally get everyone going and get on the road finally get to your appointment with all your hair still intact and wait for over 45 minutes for your appointment  .Then you go to get pictures printed( while waiting for a prescription) with one of those cheap instant machine which I really hate using but have been a putting off printing pictures for this long I  was desperate and had to wait anyhow so might as well make use of my time . The machine runs out of paper and out of the 8 employees working no one knows how to correctly get back running so decide to leave without my PAID picture but left my address to get pictures sent to me in mail (whats the chances pictures will show up ).Go to Timmy's for a tea and sweet treat only for them to screw up my order too . I was already too hard on the road to go back . This is why you check your bag before you pull away from there window .But got home to a sweet hubby that folded all the clothes and tidy kitchen and older children with there rooms clean . BUT life can always be worse .

I have all my children and they are happy and healthy . I have a roof over my head with food in our fridge and really it just one day I will survive.

Snow Fun

The kids and I got out outside for a little play . It was Vann's first time on the toboggan he loved it so much he had a snooze . HAHAHA!!! The snow was not sticky enough for snow men but we will try agin another day !






 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Addyson !

It was 4 years ago I had you .Surprising all of us early as I had a C section date booked but I guess you were not willing to wait . So on a cold cold evening we had our first princess . We were so happy to have you join our family while your brother was have a visit with us(one of the reasons we suspect that you decided to come early ) .

-skating skills have amazed me

- so into books its crazy

-are a great BIG sister most days

-have a Strong ability to want to learn or a least try

-love driving the gator all around the farm until the battery dies

I love that you are growing up but it does make me sad too as it much too fast for my liking !

Hand Delivery

Addy , Vann and I went door to door hand delivering Addys birthday invites .We went from Tilston to Pierson to Gainsborough to Carnduff to Oxbow . So cannot wait for the party !

Raw

This is pretty raw looking picture of me today(sweat ,crazy bed head,no makeup ) too raw for color . LOL. I am definitely struggling this week keep up with the workout as I am solo parenting and have sick kids that are keeping me up pretty much all night long but I am stomping through it . A few tips to share with you . Just do it . Nike is so right just keep moving and don't stop . If you want to do really do it you have to . There will be a a excuse waiting at your bedside each and every morning .I will promise you that . But get up and do it almost every time when you are done you will be so glad you did it .Trust me you really do .

Warm up even if you don't think you have time .Just do it . You will pay for this later if you don't .Trust me .

Drink lots of water .

Don't skip two days in a row its liking starting all over .

You will be happy to keep moving !!

Over the Rainbow

I saw Tommy .

I am very excited to say that I met Tommy Smythe from Sarah's House this weekend at Winnipeg's Kitchen ,Bath and Renovating Show . I took my new copy of Canadian House and Home where he was on the fold out front cover and got it signed ,then got a quick photo with him as well. I was so very glad and grateful to have my family so patience while I took this all in .It was a great experience for myself and I loved the presentation he put on with all the hints he shared with decorating and renovating .

DAY 3

of intense 45 minute working out , actually today seemed to be alittle more relaxed as I was able to bundle the little kids up and walk/jog outside today . The weather is awesome today . Sunshine ,light breeze and 7 .Yes that's right . There was no snow nor ice on the highway today all has melted so I was able to boogie on the highway with no worries of any winter danger . It was wonderful got this picture at my half way point and water break for us all .

Forever {LOVE}

Anyone that knows my Izzy knows she is NOT a loving kinda girl . She likes personal space .So loved how I was having a mini shoot practising a few things for my photography class with Vann Izzy just quickly popped in , gave him a kiss and disappeared ! This picture rocks my world .

Farm Living

Had ourselves a little farm fire as I like to call them .Farmers quick way to get rid of dead grass or anything.... start it on fire . Important part of farm fires is the watch out part to make sure things do not get out of hand . Addy wandered if we were going to get our sticks and marshmallows for the bonfire and Izzy was amazed !!! Her face is priceless right along with her hair .
