A place we know as HOME.....

This picture was taken as our house in Gainsborough was empty and it was OUR official last day of owning it . We all had mixed emotions and I am sure all of us had opposite emotions too . I am sure my husband was thrilled to finally have his very own farm . Addyson was quite sad which really surprised me how such a little person can have such deep emotion for something at such a young age , but then this would be all she has known as home . Isabelle will have no idea what has changed until it all happens and probably will never remember Gainsborough as her home . Dayton will not be as concerned as his whole life as he knows it form now has been all about move and change. Although his visits with us will be very different then his home with his mom and step dad in Calgary . TO me to was mixed emotions as this was my home to my family  love the idea of having my family growing up on a farm as I love the whole idea of farm life . But I have a great neighbours that would do anything for us in Gainsborough and our like grandparents to our kids . I would have neighbours as out the farm its us and a few miles away neighbours. I will have a dog that was never mine and cats that I really don't like but know I need them . CHANGE ........ Its hard but its all works out . SO as I look at this picture the lighting is poor its not really a good picture of anyone but it stands for much more then that and that's what I see .

I had a opportunity to take pictures of this cute cowboy this summer for his 6 month milestone . He did absolutely wonderful .

UNPLUGGED !!!

I one of my summer to do things done with my family a unplugged camping trip to Sioux Falls ,SD . It was complete bliss for me and I don't think anyone in my family was really harmed by it either. My husband had no cell or computer , the kids had no t.v , ipod , or gaming system of any kind the whole trip as well as the whole 10 hour drive too . I was proud of them all . It was great we did games, crafts , stories ,talking to each other , we sang silly songs and was all great . There was so much to do at Sioux Falls too . We took a family mascot with us to take pictures with the whole trip along his name is josh and its actually apart of Addy's doll house collection . That's the name she gave him .

: We were there for the July 4Th so our kids got to experience American fire works

: We had the best unplugged 6 days by unplugged we did have a toaster and coffee maker that were the only plug ins

I can so see the changes happening .

Oh Sunday !

We started our weekend out rocky with going to the farm to "TRY " to set up the new trampoline and ended up sucking water out of the basement . Although on the up side.(WAIT I know what you are thinking water in the basement and there is a Up side . Well my girl Addyson at 2 weeks old made us realize things can always be worse ,so LOOK for the upside my friends .) it seems that it was just caused by the power being off for quite sometime ,so the SUMP was not able to run .SO for future reference when power goes off get our butts down to the farm .
So Sunday we had a great time as we were invited to some friends for a BBQ .
Here's a picture of Izzy and her dad hanging on the deck while the rest of the kids ,ran ,dug ,jumped and screamed of FUN !

Our wonderful supper grilled salmon ,caesar salad,garlic toast and asparagus!!DELISH !

Their dog Bingo that was hanging out on the deck with us .BINGO enjoyed having Addy as a supper guest.HEHEHE!

One thing Addy and there son Jimmy have in common they both love HOCKEY !

R.I.P Baby Kitties

Sad to announce that we no longer have four baby kitties .It seems as if a tom cat has came into our yard found where they were and had killed them one by one. And yes I am alittle disappointed as we had someone else's farm dog and someone else 2 farm cats ,so It would of been nice to have one that was ours . I had told the kids they could keep one.Addy didn't really understand that we had kitties , but I will have to tell alittle boy tomorrow ;(
I am quite sure our farm will see more baby kitties on it though some day .
