and it got me thinking as well as I had a chance to watch Bubble Wrap kid on TV the other night (on Slice network for anyone that wishes to check it out. ).
Since when did we feel that our kids need helmets to ride their bike , and fear them to do anything on their own and if we do become adventurous and let our little precious ducklings do something we get frowned upon by others. I remember the days when I would cross the highway and then the railway tracks to get to my friends house . Yeah I remember being scared the first few times doing it but I did on my own and quite often told to be back home by dark . Remember those days heading off on your bike to the park or for a bike ride and told be home by dark . Well that would be really crazy these days do say that to our kids . See yeah later be home home by dark . Is this why its been so easy to keep our children in playing video games , being online , or watching TV . Instead of finding the next adventure or building a tree house , or be free simply to do whatever we want in the big bad world as we see today .
When did we all become so precious ? And what makes our childhood so dark and dangerous . For the most part I think I turned out quite fine . Kudos to mom and dad.
