One Little Word

I have decided to take the journey of having one little word to carry me into this New Year to help focus with whats important to me and have a clear focus on something to keep me centered enough on a goal . So I had many little words pulled aside on a waiting list . A few being cherish , believe,focus,grateful,nurture or create but none of them spoke to me they just seemed like a word . Yes any of them could be fitting for what is in store for us/ me this upcoming year . But Ali says pick a word for YOU . SO I gave that alot of thought . I followed the process she gives to support you on your journey I looked up the definition of each word . I had one word that just kept popping in my head .word = BE . Could it be my word . Its so deep can mean so much is this what I need or want . So I ignored it and continued on my journey LOOKING for my one little word when my one little word already had me . SO after much thought laying in bed with the dictionary in hand my jot  book analyzing every word ,and  searching for more words . Then I thought BE is so much of what I want to strive for . I feel as a mom , wife,step mom ,sister,daughter and friend so some how lost ME and feel like I have been tested as the person I know I am and the person people want me to be . So I thought to just BE is perfect . I have yet to start my binder for my one little word journey have the idea all stored up above and set all the products I want to use aside to create it just need to make the time.So as I set out to BE . I have done my home work on my little word .

BE is the one little word little it is but I have a feeling its going to make a huge impact on my coming journey .For now I am going to BE .

I am back .

Well home sweet home . Its always nice to go but the feeling of being back home is just not duplicated any where else. My experience at The Vegas this time .
I have a few new pet peeves I must share with you  . I do not know if its all the raging hormones this time that I have going on or what . But I got very irritated by the fashion sense some people have .
1. Its not cool to have your boots covering more skin then your skirt so wrong on so many levels . and if you feel like wearing a skirt or dress for that matter please let it cover your bootie .
2.Lycra , sequins , leather or pleather for that matter , fur , gold and silver jewelery should not be all worn together all at once please for the love of god save our sore eyes
3. If your purse costs more then your entire outfit return purse to get new wardrobe
4. IF you think its OK to have your titties hanging out please do not have varicose veins covering every square inch of them . YUCK YUCK YUCK need I say more.
5. Make sure when you wake up in the morning you know the difference between a shirt and a dress as a long shirt does not make it OK to wear out as a dress .
6. If you choice to dress like a 2 cent whore or a pimp please do not have your children out with you  Its bad enough we have to see you yet your poor children to think that is acceptable
7.Just cause some one makes and sells it doesn't mean you should buy it please pink ,purple , blue ,green or sequin Uggs are not OK and should of not been produced in the first place.

SO now the things I did this time and think you should too .
1. Go to Serendipity's restaurant and order the frozen hot chocolate .YUMMY !!
2. Eat at The Cheesecake Factory and not just for the obvious but the whole meal was delish as well as the service was over the top good .
3. Must watch KA cirque du soleil show it was great .
4. David Spade was good minus the lady yelling at him from the audience .
5. Fremont street gambling is the best . SHOW ME the MONEY !
6. Shopping at Forever 21 and H & M I really enjoy the fashion show mall and see no need for the outlets .I got the exact same deals and did not have to pay $$$$ to travel the distance

I got some pretty cute maternity stuff disappointed in the little girl stuff this time but theres always next time .So back to reality for me .

Leaving on a jet plane ....

to VIVA Las Vegas . Once again hubby and I are heading to Las Vegas for a weekend getaway this time solo . Enjoyed the company last time but need some time with my man . As January is a busy month for this household . We have two parties to celebrate as it is also prime AG show time as well . So hubby is gone to Saskatoon , Brandon and Minot Ag shows to have a booth for the company he works for . AS well as continued Reno's going on here , Addy starting school and back to the grind with skating lessons and music class it makes for a busy household . So here's to this mama keeping my cool this month. (keep your fingers crossed for that happening  LOL )
So excited to getaway but worried the time change will wear me out too . I look forward to finding so cute maternity clothes for this mama to wear this summer as the last two were winter babies ,so the heat of the summer will be something new for me.
Also hoping to get see a few shows and try to eat some delish food. .This pregnancy is over all very different then the last two . I just seem to have no appetite or get a big crave for something then eat a few bites of it and that's all I needed .
SO here's to great shopping ,show seeing ,eating and hubby time !

Can a Vegan be born not raised ??

I pose the question can a Vegan be born not raised not knowing of this is the correct term to be using ,so with all respect please correct me if I am wrong .  Our Izzy seems to be on the Vegan path . She will not eat meat . You cannot even trick her into it now she has not always been like this .She would eat pretty much anything you would plate up for her . Now as I post this I am not against this or will I  try to change her. if this is a long time lifestyle for her. She is who she is and I love her just this way . But it has sure changed the way I think about Whats for dinner ??? SO if anyone has any tidbits on how to make whats for dinner easier on this dear mom  please share .I would love to make one meal for my family but please all .
But can this really be happening is she a "REAL " vegan or is this just a phase ?? We are definitely a meat eating family .She enjoys eating fish and milk products , although she will not eat beef ,pork or chicken or eggs .
 My dad ,brother and grandpa are  hunters and we do eat wild meat . I am almost up to trying anything to eat myself not so much my hubby . SO on my journey to see whats for dinner tonite ??

Change happens ....

I believe change can happen but it takes you to do it . So I am making changes in my life and starting now 2011 to do it . Here are a few things I am doing to make those changes happen to me .
I am going to use my project life kit from last year and actually do it but maybe not quite the way Becky uses hers but in away for me to document our FAMILY the way we see it . I am glad its guided out the way it is but it did not work for me ,so I am planning on making it work for me. Check out what project life is all about here.
I am also choosing a word for the year which Ali shows us her "one little word " journey . Before Ali showed us that she was going to document her word this year I had planned to to do a art journal with my word so once again I am not setting myself up to fail this year I still plan on doing it my way but listen to what she is doing with her little word and taking advice from her journey to guide me on my journey . Ali's One Little Word can be found here. I will share my one little word later on . The word that found me still really confuses me now ,but I am sure it is the word that is right for me and will take me on amazing journey .
I also know I really need help to organize and help me do all this so I am using some Christmas money to do this . How to achieve your goals and create a life you love .Who really wouldn't want this .A life you will love and to be had . There are so many things that have changed for us / me last year and I just need help getting it all to where we need to be . I ,me have had a hard journey getting here where I am and feel stuck but need me to get it unstuck . Not sure that's making any sense but that's where its at now. I need ,want a meal plan for our family as we live on a farm , I want to create the memories our family will have forever again , I need me to reconnect with me again I need our family to be together the best that we can be . So as I take my journey I hope all this will help me find me . So for now I am just going to BE .

We have had a exciting year with big changes for us .
- had a baby girl
- sold our house in Gainsborough SK
-  moved to a farm
- renovated the farm house
- Moved to Manitoba (huge for me )
- living the farm life
- and many more.
