Sad but very true I will be spending my 30th birthday in Brandon hospital . Whats a girl to do but take care of babe and me . I will be admitted first thing this morning and then I will go on to Winnipeg next Tuesday and find out more then . I am sure shortly after that I will be booked for a C section and will have a baby name to announce to you all for our little man . I have had a lot to soak in the last day or two . We were given the worst case scenario of possible delicate  C Section  surgery with a possible hysterectomy to be had at same time ,or to  bleed out and losing enough blood for both babe and me not to make it or possible just a normal placenta previa completely with no complications . Sitting in a hospital til a another picture can be done to rule out any dangers by a specialist seems like the best idea for now . Not ideal as I am a planner I had to scatter to find a home for my children with very busy family and friends but we got everything worked out . I must say we both have amazing families and are very lucky to have everyone live very close to us .As well as kick A$$ best friend that did not hesitate to mother my children until all our families could work out there schedules to be the most help to us . THANK YOU is not enough to all the help we will receiving in the weeks to come .
Happy Birthday to me still hoping to get a slice of cake and ice cream .

TIME OFF

I need some personal time off for now . Life can be overwhelming and its getting the best of me these days . It seems as when it rains ....it pours ...well that seems to be the case for us these with bad news . So at this point I do use this a outlet to  just be so maybe I will be back soon and maybe I will not .At this point I do not even know where i will be in the days to come . So to all my blog friends keep on blogging as I will be checking in daily to have a distraction .I do have a blog post or two to schedule to be posted on certain days that I did over the weekend but for now that's all i can guarantee for now.

Scared with nerves and butterflies

This is me today meeting a new doctor to birth my third child. Kinda feeling like I have no choice but doing what I guess is best for everyone . YES it feels like the first days of school or test day are you ready or not .I have been lucky enough to have the same doctor, female doctor , at the same hospital in Saskatchewan for both my girls  as well as the two miscarriages I had too ( so theres comfort there trust ). Now I will be going to a new doctor ,a male doctor and that I am meeting for the first time today in Manitoba . Every once in awhile Dman will ask if I am ever scared of anything I will give him a list mice . heights to a certain point ,losing my kids , etc , etc but today I am scared of the unknown .
So this is me  @ 35 weeks
- Scared of whats to be
- carpel tunnel in hands so bad I can't sleep
-feeling of a baby's head down there (first time for me as well )
-Ready for babe (clothes , diapers , crib , bassinet , wipes  ,etc )
-Happy to have another boy enter our world
-Braxton hicks every couple days
-Tired
-Craving sweets like no one business
-enjoying every little kick or thump I am getting knowing I will miss them when they are gone .
-still can see my toes
-almost finished the new hospital baby book I make for all the kids but still have to make announcements and thank yous (have always had this done before babe comes so we will see)OK I am a planner.
-still need to get maternity pictures done .
-my bag is not packed yet

The sun is out and feeling like this is going to be  a good day . Although my nerves are right there sitting waiting for anyone to make a wrong move and I can have a river of tears I am sure .So here's to a day of firsts that hopefully a green tea frap can fix at the end of the day :)Also hoping that Miss. Izzy will not need her ears flushed out mama did her own DIY to help her out this weekend and hoped it worked . We are firm believers of ear candling but have only did to the Mr ,Dman at age 4 and myself , so had our concerns doing it too Izzy as shes so young but mineral oil was just not cutting it . I could barely handle watching her fall over anymore .We candled her bad ear and she has seemed to be doing much better .
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the both of us .

TGIF

Looking forward to a lazy summer weekend with my house as clean as it can be for chaos still happening and laundry being the only thing I need to so call catch up on .I am feeling a lets do whatever we want or don't want weekend to happen . After this week of sick little girlies one with ear infection that resulted in a quick ER trip and the other with a blocked ear drum that may or may not need to be flushed out on Monday at the doc . (hoping not )and a hubby that was gone on over night work meetings. This mama is tired , drained and out of sorts ,but we all know that nothing happens as planned any way . So with that said cross your fingers cause I am not ready for anymore drama ,chaos or disasters.to happen . Hope you all can kick back and enjoy your weekend as well .
I will leave you with a little Pinterest love of mine for the weekend . When CHAOS seems to be the norm I dream of places like these to go to .Where would you want to go ???
All photos courtesyy to Pinterest plan on coming back to give proper credit to whom actually took them .

Summer goodness

I made this delish Rhubarb recipe and everyone scarfed it down . The joys of being a farm gal is fresh rhubarb right out your back door . This cake was oh so moist and absolutely delish to the last crumb ice cream or no ice cream ,but doesn't ice cream make everything better .
RECIPE :Rhubarb Coffee Cake (Tablespoon - T ,teaspoon -t  ,Cup - C )
1/2 C Margarine                       1 t vanilla
1 1/2 C white sugar                   2 C flour
2 eggs                                       1 t baking soda
1 C sour cream                         2 C rhubarb , chopped

TOPPING
1/2 C brown sugar                    1 t cinnamon
1 T flour                              1 T margarine
Make into crumbs and sprinkle over batter . Bake @ 350* in a 9x13 pan for 30-40 minutes .
Now you all know I cannot not keep to a recipe if my life depended on it .
So this is what I changed . I used Epicure Apple Spice in both mixture and topping same amount as cinnamon .Of course I doubled the topping too . YUMMY !!!
This recipe was courtesy of the Carievale Cookbook and was submitted by Jean Dean (Allan )

Baby days

Oh the sweet smells and cuddles of babies . I getting so ready and have been thinking about the girls when they were little too .I remember the the cuddles Addy loved  and she could lay on your chest all day long if you'd let her .
Addy got her ears pierced at 6 weeks old . I do not regret it for one minute .

Izzy well strange but true now that I think of it she had this purring sound that she made when she was sleeping like a kitty ,which is ironic now that I think about it as one of her favorite words are kitty kitty .

Izzy was so alert as a baby always wide eyed .

I am  looking forward to another little one in our house .I have so many things on my mind preparing for our little man . I wanted to share a few of my fave baby things / products that I {heart}
1. Grobag - having had winter babies that loved to be covered up but always kicking the blankets off then crying to get covered up again this was quite the treat .Great for camping as its a little sleeping bag and if child falls asleep in it and you have to travel it has the seat belt holes so you can keep them in it too

2. Skip Hop Diaper Bag - Perfect size love how its goes right over your shoulder and you still have two free hands .

3. Odourless Diaper Pail - Truly was a great diaper pail that it did not cost $$$$$ and no additional costs or parts

4. Baby K'Tan Baby carrier - once again I do not regret this purchase and used it often mostly while shopping and could quite comfortably breast feed while in carrier very comfortably
5. Zen collection cradle swing - LOVED for so many reasons the part where baby lies can lift off and be moved  to another room ,it would swing in both directions , It could be operated with batteries or plugged in loved that we would not be wasting so many batteries .

6. Bumbo - I enjoyed having our bumbo especially on camping trips

7. Stoke High chair - now this one is a investment cause $$$$$ but so worth it all our kids including the Dman used it as a toddler and can be used as a chair when we are all done with it for a high chair . Now this is not for you if you let your child fall asleep in the high chair which our children never did . I like how you push it up to the table they learn table manners really early .
8. Summer Infant Baby video monitor - Once again high end purchase $$$$ but we loved it  allowed us to have our room in the basement with baby's room on main floor and saved me alot of running up the stairs for no reason as well as allowed me to be at outside with the other two and could keep a close eye as well ear to what baby was doing .
9.Travel Bed- made by Eddie Bauer -    We had this thing with us to all hotels as well as camping very small portable and handy no where near as big as a play pen so had that much more trunk room which when you have more then one kid is always appreciated

10.So many things I am leaving out too . But somethings that come to mind are our one of kind bedding made by a local gal and my nursing cover that my sister made me .

Is it possible to have baby without these goodies heck yeah but it was sure nice to have it too . Obliviously we got to use it more then once too so always a added bonus . Most of the above was purchased with baby money given to us from grandparents and great grandparents as well as others . Or was received as a a gift which is always a nice gesture too .

It could always be worse ....

I sit here thinking of everyone I know that is effect in one way or another with all the rain and water , tornadoes , fires  and every thing else that is going on  . Weather it directly or in directly we are a story or know a story of someones . BUT keep your heads up I have tell my hubby from day one it can always be worse cause it can . I got this frame of mind from sitting in the pediatricians office with our first daughter in our arms , a diaper bag over one shoulder and a breathing heart monitor over the other there we were in a room FULL to standing room all waiting for the same doctor as I was there and looked around tired with barely any energy to keep my eyes open as we have been up for days with little or no sleep at this point waiting our turn . I saw all these people with all sorts of things wrong with their children and  I am sure everyone was concerned with what was wrong with their child . I sat in a row with what seemed to be new parents with their first born and what looked like he had a a cold the couple looked much like us tried ,exhausted and concerned , then sitting beside them was us with Addy very petite and her monitor going over every 15 - 20 minutes which was quite normal for us but the people sitting beside looked quite concern for us but to us it was normal . We were sitting and hoping that we had enough battery juice left to get us through our appointment and to the truck so we could plug it back in . Then sitting beside us was a couple with a few children but one that they had to bring in two coolers that carried syringes that they had to pump into there daughter through her back through a feeding tube what seemed every half hour . This couple also looked sleep deprived , exhausted and concerned . I sat there thinking the  couple with cold is looking at us like poor people our son just has a cold and we sat their looking at the next couple thinking we just have carry a breathing monitor around maybe for a another month or two  and they have to keep coolers to feed their what seemed like a  8 year old and who knows how long they have been doing this for . I left their with the statement stuck in my head it can always be worse . So some days I maybe repeating this more then once and maybe I even have told you it can always be worse but it can .
So when I think of my flooded basement and what now appears to have water in our roof and hoping its not enough to have our roof fall in on us. I sit her thinking of the people my sister and BIL helped evacuate out of their homes last night carrying all of what they could out of their homes or the people across the border that have been just given their evacuation warning yesterday or the people leaving their homes to fires and could not carry anything out as their was just no time too .
If i could  have you all think for one minute when something doesn't go quite the way you want it to remember It could always be worse .
Thinking of everyone on the world today that is effected with this crazy weather we have been having either rain , tornadoes , floods whatever it may be you are in my thoughts and it could always be worse .
